Cone Beam CT 3-D Imaging
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (C.B.C.T.) is a radiographic imaging method that allows accurate, three dimensional (3-D) imaging of hard and soft tissue structure. Dr. Oyangen uses this advanced x-ray machine in situations where regular dental x-rays are not sufficient enough.
The C.B.C.T. scan aids Dr. Oyangen in the preparation and placement of dental implants, accurately locating the nerve canal for a root canal and for detecting fractures in a tooth that are not seen by standard x-rays. It is a great tool for treatment planning since the patient and Dr. Oyangen can see this 3-dimensional image together.
Waterlase® MD Laser Technology
If this plaque is allowed to build up on your teeth it will eventually travel down into the pockets surrounding each tooth. The gum tissue will then become inflamed and bacteria will proceed to start destroying that tooth, or teeth, and the surrounding bone. If this process continues the tooth, or teeth, will eventually become loose and will need to be removed. By removing plaque from your teeth our hygienists are also helping you to maintain overall good health.

The iTero® takes exceptional digital images of the patient’s mouth thus, reducing the need for messy impressions and molds of your teeth. These accurate images can be sent to produce the best fitting Invisalign® aligners or dental restorations.
The iTero® scanner is easy to use and also improves the patient’s comfort. It eliminates gagging that is associated with taking impressions. This scanner shortens appointments by 22% and often reduces return appointments. The iTero® provides real-time images that can help our dentist educate our patients.
Diagnodent Cavity Detection Laser
We use the Diagnodent, to scan the teeth for decay. It uses a harmless light of specific wavelength to accurately locate cavities that cannot be seen. Early detection of cavities means earlier treatment and improved oral health.
