Dental Cleanings

Routine dental cleanings are important to maintain not only the health of your mouth but your entire body.  Our registered dental hygienists will evaluate the condition of your teeth and gums and use this information to determine the appropriate treatment to help you obtain the best oral health possible.

Metal Free Fillings

Dr. Oyangen only uses composite or tooth-colored fillings when repairing a cavity. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing but they do not contain traces of mercury like the traditional silver amalgam fillings do. They also bond directly to the tooth surface making the tooth stronger.

"Timely service, and absolutely no super efficient drilling and prepping of tooth because used laser technology!"

Root Canals

A root canal is performed when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the canal of a tooth becomes abscessed or inflamed.  A root canal procedure involves clearing out the infected or damaged pulp and filling the area with a new antibacterial material.

Teeth Whitening

Our dental office offers two methods for Teeth Whitening. The first is a technique called  Zoom™, an in-office whitening procedure that can brighten your smile up 4 to 6 shades instantly. The second method is a take-home whitening system that we provide to our patients looking for a  gradual increase in teeth whitening from home.

Gum Disease / Periodontal Therapy

Gum disease is caused by plaque containing bacteria building up around the teeth and gums. If this plaque is not removed the toxins from the bacteria spread below the gum line forcing the gums to let go of the teeth forming pockets. A key sign of gum disease is bleeding around the gums when you floss or brush your teeth. This is called Gingivitis. During a routine dental cleaning appointment, our hygienist will check for signs of this disease.

We search for the root cause of gum disease.

We also screen everyone for gum disease using a special tool to measure the space between your gums and teeth. This aids in determining the health of your gums which in turn will determine what type of dental cleaning you will require. Some people will need a more involved cleaning if periodontal disease is present.
